Katie: Hair Styles Printed Cropped Jacket c/o Smak Parlour | Funny Face Pants - Pinup Girl Clothing
Black Nana Heels - BAIT Footwear | Burgundy Cami - Similar | Hair Scarf - Similar

Amanda: Hello Dolly Printed Skater Dress c/o Smak Parlour (can be purchased here and here)
Glitter Jelly Bag - Amazon  | Black Ballet Flats - Amazon  | Glitter Sunglasses - Amazon (similar)

It took us both a long time to feel comfortable and confident enough to rock 1960s styles, but once we did you couldn't stop us.  We are no strangers to big hair + beehives, but it's more rare that we dip into 60's style make-up.  So we thought we'd slip on some blue eyeshadow and light pink lipstick to truly complete the look.  Our favorite baby pink lipstick right now is Portrait Pink by Besame Cosmetics.  Besame is especially amazing, because all of their colors are based off of exact shades used in previous decades. Portrait Pink is a wonderful light pink that is based off of a color from 1963.

Smak Parlour has perfected fun, casual clothing and it's so easy for these pieces to have a casual 1960s vibe to them.  With their collection of mini skirts, skater dresses and boxy tops it's easy to create outfits that are modern with a nice vintage twist.  For you shorter ladies, their skater dresses are a perfect length if you're looking for dresses that don't reach our ankles (;.  We loved the prints offered and the Hair Styles Printed Cropped Jacket has a coordinating skirt and dress, which is great for people like me who get obsessed with one print.

Friday Favorites #64

Friday, June 24, 2016

Happy Friday Favorites!  I couldn't be more excited because I'm sitting in Georgia with Katie as we speak and it seems like it's been forever since I've seen her.  We were lurking around online realizing how drawn we've been to prints + bright colors lately and threw this together for y'all!

This is a quick cell phone snap but I had to share because I've been hoarding vintage swimwear and Hawaiian prints prepping for this!  I travel all the time back and forth from Tennessee to Georgia but Collin + I are going to the beach with my family for the first REAL/lengthy vacation I've been on in about 7 years!  It'll be nice to be out of law school for a couple weeks and take time away from my day job.

We feature Femme de Bloom on the blog all the time but her classic Disney brooches + new Harry Potter Collection are next level amazing... I have so much in my Etsy cart right now. Must. Control. Myself.

We are absolutely DYING because Kate Spade is having a 30% off sale this weekend and we are trying our hardest not to sell our souls in exchange for beautiful wicker bag.

Art/Photo: I Saw her in the Library - The Black Apple
Absolutely in love with all the art created by The Black Apple and we're completely in awe of her talent.

/ Past Friday Favorites posts can be found here.

A Little Sunshine

Tuesday, June 21, 2016

Katie:  Happy Glamper Brooch c/o Erstwilder | Teal Sabrina Top - Pinup Girl Clothing
Yellow Shorts - New York & Company | Minnetonka Moccasins - Amazon

Amanda: Vintage Tiki Dress c/o Retrolicious | Disney "D" Brooch - Match Accessories
The Spencer Wide Brimmed Hat - Lack of Color | Bracelets - Splendette | Heels - BAIT Footwear

Happy Tuesday!  We decided to change the schedule up this week from a Monday post to a Tuesday post, and it's for the best possible reason!  Amanda has a family beach trip coming up, but first stop is a visit to Augusta. YAY!

We decided to do an outfit post to give you an idea of what we've been wearing on days when we haven't had a blog post.  I've been living in shorts + moccasins lately, because I'm too lazy and it's too hot for me to want to put on clothes.  Of course, I feel like a 1960s camp counselor so it's really a win-win situation.  I've been really loving buying basics from New York & Company.  It's weird being able to shop at the mall, but I'm not complaining!  These shorts are currently on sale too so they were a great buy!

When Amanda saw this Retrolicious dress she noticed that it closely resembled a vintage Kamehameha bathing suit she recently purchased (she shared an image for it in last week's Friday favorites, here).  The print is even more gorgeous in person and is a great authenticly vintage-looking tiki print.  It makes us wish that we could be at Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room sipping mock-tails and listening to the birds.

// Also, winners of our recent giveaway with Lady K Loves were chosen! See them displayed on the post widget, here. Congrats to with winners and thank you to everyone who entered!

Les Choses Delicates

Friday, June 17, 2016

Amanda: Floral Dress c/o Les Choses Délicates (this style, in fabric #6)  | Ione Heels - BAIT Footwear | Vinyl Hair Flower c/o The Wreckerd Mill | Bangles - Splendette | Basket Purse - vintage (similar)

Katie:  Floral Dress c/o Les Choses Délicates (this style, in fabric #5) | Light Blue Wedges - Modcloth (similar) | Fairest of Them all Brooch c/o Erstwilder (Similar) | Sunhat - Similar

We stumbled across Les Choses Délicates while searching on Etsy one day and loved her whimsical, retro designs.  So, we were really excited to hear from Sarah and try some of the designs for ourselves.  All the items in the shop are handmade in Canada by a super sweet independent french designer named Sarah.  Both dresses were beautifully made and had HUGE pockets.  We chose the fabric from photos that weren't of completed dresses so we were stoked that the florals were even better in person than we expected them to be.  The dresses are made according to her size chart but she will basically make them to measure for you if you'd like, which is what we chose, and we couldn't recommend this option more!

I accessorized mine with this vinyl hair flower from The Wreckerd Mill I picked up at Nashville Boogie.  They're made from recycled vinyl records here in Nashville and besides being the such a cool concept for an accessory, also made the perfect compliment to the dress.  I ended up going on an adventure to Hewitt Garden and Design and wandered around all the succulents trying to choose one ,it was tough, and... I was going to get one for Katie too... but she's killed every plant I've ever given her (sorry Katie) and I was worried about it's survival. ;)
